A distant cousin to the pyrosalamander and cyrosalamander, hydros are a mythical breed of salamander that feeds on steam. Hydrosalamanders can often be identified by their blue-silver skin. Female hydrosalamanders can often be identified by a grey stripe that runs down their back, from the top of their head to the end of their tail.
